Interview
with Professor Jairo Ramos, Gradúate in Mathematics - Civil Engineer -
Specialist in Project Management, who told us about the influence of
civilizations in the history of mathematics.
The
expert says that mathematics is a science that is from our origins and affects
our daily life, which is why we must study them. I emphasize that the Greeks
have been a civilization of the most influential in mathematics, these were
based on the Babylonian and Egyptian contributions, besides counting on eminent
mathematicians like Pythagoras, Plato and in the Alexandria where the great
thinkers are.
I
emphasize that Isaac Newton opened scientific thinking to greater projection,
and that his work "Principia" is the one that has contributed more
through history, and inspiration for many current mathematicians. I conclude by
observing that his work as a teacher is to contribute to trying to make
mathematics easy and uncomplicated to understand, urging
them to love them as they are part of our daily lives.
